Choosing the Right Hand Dryers for Your Business

Date : 10 Nov 2016  ·  Category : All

There are so many different types of hand dryers on the market and businesses are spoilt for choice. Whilst it’s always good to have a number of choices for any buying decision, for a lot of people on the hunt for hand dryers for their business, many of the available models look very similar so the buying decision can be very confusing or even daunting.

Although a lot of hand dryer models do look relatively similar, it’s important to note that they have different attributes to cater for different requirements. With this in mind, we’ve put together a useful guide to help you choose which hand dryer is best suited for your requirements:

Nozzle Hand DryerHand dryers for small to medium sized office workplaces

In a small business, illnesses can spread very quickly amongst staff and reduced productivity and absences can be very costly. Making the right hand dryer choice can play a big part in preventing the spread of germs and illness. Whilst it may seem like an unnecessary cost, choosing an automatic hand dryer is really important as germs can easily be spread when people need to press a button to activate a hand dryer.

In many offices, as well as work places such as small factories, a nozzle hand dryer provides an ideal solution. Complete with an infra-red sensor, an automatic nozzle hand dryer can dry hands in as little as 10-15 seconds with an air speed of 7500rpm.

Hand dryers for high traffic businesses

For washrooms that are subjected to high traffic on a daily basis, for example, in a shopping centre, sporting stadium or concert venue, a fast drying time must be factored in when choosing suitable hand dryers. As hand dryers in a high traffic environment will be used so many times on a daily basis, it’s also important to choose a hand dryer with a low running cost.

Jet blade hand dryers are automatic and are designed to dry very quickly and safely, achieving air speeds of 20,000 rpm in only 1.2 seconds. Jet hand dryers are extremely sensitive and start as soon as the hands are placed into the cavity and will stop as soon as the hands are lifted, ensuring that no energy is wasted.

hand dryerHand dryers for pubs, bars and clubs

Hand dryers for public houses, bars and nightclubs often have to be replaced more regularly than in other types of business. It therefore makes a lot of sense to choose as robust and durable a hand dryer as possible, making it more difficult for vandals to cause damage.

It’s advisable to choose a hand dryer that is fabricated of one piece, thick gauge steel or stainless steel, along with tamper resistant air vanes that prevent access to internal parts. The more durable the hand dryer, the longer it can be expected to last.

Hand dryers for doctor’s surgeries and hospitals

Doctor’s surgeries and hospitals are hot spots for germs as many of the people using the washrooms will already be carrying an illness, so it’s important to make sure hands are dried as hygienically as possible to prevent the spread of germs. Jet blade hand dryers provide an ideal solution.
